About Us

Herefordshire Deli Hampers has been my concept to help showcase the wealth of Herefordshire produce in an imaginative and eco-friendly manner and, of course, to give pleasure to the hamper recipient's taste buds.

As a true Herefordian of 44 years, yes, I am that old(!), I am very proud of the produce that this beautiful county has to offer. The County itself contains producers abound who have developed very innovative ways of taking core ingredients and making them into something spectacular. It is not without great merit that the county came runners up in the Enterprising Britain competition in 2008 going up against very stiff competition from all counties across the country. A fantastic accolade of what Herefordshire can offer.

Part of the approach to sourcing the produce on offer in my hamper bags has been to pick items that use as much locally sourced ingredients as possible to ensure that the produce is as Herefordian as possible. I can assure you that I have been undertaking a lot of quality control to ensure that what you receive is of excellent quality. Additionally, the job of choosing the produce to go in the hampers took a lot of debating - trust me, there is a lot to choose from.

Herefordshire Deli Hampers currently offers eight hampers of varying price, some are named after the rivers of Herefordshire - another unique feature of Herefordshire's heritage and landscape.

As a society, we are constantly being encouraged to be as eco-friendly as possible. By reducing food miles and sourcing the basic ingredients locally this can obviously encourage sustainability and reduction in carbon footprint. In addition to the 'grow local, buy local' approach, the packaging that I have sourced for the hampers has been chosen with environmental considerations at the forefront. Who would have thought that you could get biodegradable bubble wrap??
